See the report below from Mr Hueston about the Junior Lawn Bowls Tournament on Tuesday (Thanks are due to Mr Hueston for his organisation of not only the school team but the tournament and weekly competition):
The Newlands College Bowls Squadron was out in force today.
The team played in total 17 games and we won 16.
Girls Pairs
Georgia Rainey and Victoria Bain won 5 of 6 games finished 2nd overall.
An Onslow pair who had 5 wins and a draw won overall. (Annoyingly we played Onslow when the girls had a bye and we beat them!!)
Boys Pairs
Jonny Cottle and Santana Matiaha won 5 of 5 games
Andrew Morgan and Nathan Ryan won 5 of 5 games
So it was an all Newlands Final.
Well done to Jonny Cottle and Santana Matiaha who won 7-2.
So 3 Teams: One 1st and two 2nd places is a pretty good day at the office.
