Volleyball – Newlands College Sport and Active Recreation

Cost: $40 for Junior/Senior A teams. $30 for Recreational teams.

Background

Volleyball is a sport on the rise at the college with large numbers of students keen to play at junior and senior level. In 2023, we had a total of 12 Volleyball teams that competed in the College Sport Wellington competition. Our top Junior and Senior teams will have an opportunity to play in the CSW Regional Tournament and North Island Satellite Tournaments.

Trials

Trials will be held for students who are wanting to play in our competitive Junior A/B Volleyball teams. Students must register in order to trial. Please register before Friday 2 February if you wish to play Recreational Senior Volleyball.

Training

To be advised once teams are selected.

Parent Help

We need coaches, managers and help with transport. Please let us know on the registration form if you are available to help.

Competitions

CSW Comps for Juniors on Wednesday and Friday for Seniors

8 — 9 Mar – CSW Senior Tournament, Akau Tangi, Kilbirnie

1 – 2 Nov – CSW Junior Tournament, Akau Tangi, Kilbirnie

18-22 March – NZSS Volleyball Nationals, Palmerston North

19-21 Nov – Junior Satellite, Te Rauparaha Arena, Porirua
