Blair Thornton performs well at Kayak Nationals

Following the departure of Kurtis Imrie at the end of 2013 it seemed likely that Newlands College would not have someone to follow in the footsteps of the Imrie family at the Kayaking Nationals. Step up Blair Thornton (Y11) who, encouraged by Kurtis has recently taken up the sport. At his first nationals Blair made 3 finals which was a very impressive achievement. His results were as follows:
