Newlands College is pleased to announce that Ivan Tissera will be working with our cricketers as part of a joint initiative with Johnsonville Cricket Club.
Ivan has had over thirty years’ experience as a player, coach and administrator. He is a New Zealand Cricket Level 3 coach and is highly regarded for his technical coaching skills in batting and spin bowling.
He has been New Zealand Women’s A head Coach, Wellington Blaze co –coach, Wellington A Men’s Assistant Coach and for the past seven years has been Wellington College 1 st X1 Coach and Director of Cricket at the College. He has also coached at Wellington Under 17 and Under 15 level.
Each week he will support our current coaches at practices on a Tuesday and Thursday and will attend saturday games where his Johnsonville Cricket Club schedule allows.
