Congratulations to the Boys Hockey team and their coach Ian Norman on winning the Reserve 1 Grade against Kapiti College last night and in doing so earning a promotion to the Premier 3 Grade for next season. The team contained no less than 7 players new to the sport so it was an excellent start to those boys career in hockey. The game itself was a tight affair with Newlands having plenty of opportunities to score but in the end it was an impressive reverse shot from Reuben Allen that broke the deadlock with 11 minutes to go.
