The girls football team have won the Wellington Division 2 title for the second year in a row. Playing against Wellington Girls 2nd team, the girls went 1-0 up after a great team goal scored by Shani McMullan and then scored again late on through Emily Vandewiel. That goal proved crucial as Wellington Girls scored a goal with a minute left but it was too late for them to get another chance.
The girls now play an unbeaten Upper Hutt team from the Hutt Valley Division in a play off for the Regional Finals. This game is taking place at Maidstone Park at 8pm on Wednesday.
