New Zealand’s Under-20 Juniors and Under-14 Youth Roller Hockey Teams beat their Australian equivalents 2 games to 1 and 1 win, 1 loss, 1 draw [winning by sudden death goal] respectively in Melbourne on 1-2 August.
Emily Thompson (12BT) was the only female player to get rink time from either country in the Under-20s, making a strong squad contribution with two more years of eligibility for the winning Juniors side.
Alex Thompson (9OR) scored in each of the Under-14 games and won the Best Youth Player title for the tournament.
Congratulations to Emily and Alex.
