After an intense week of competition our Volleyball girls have finished 13th in Division 3 and 45th overall out of 85 teams. Finishing top of their pool, Newlands entered in the Division 3 competition. In their pool games the girls lost to Trident and Rangi Ruru Girls but beat Taradale. This meant the girls missed out on the quarter finals and instead were involved in cross over games.
In the first cross over game for 9-16, the girls lost a close game against Lincoln 3-2 before beating Aquinas convincingly in the 13-16 cross over before beating Taradale again in the play off for 13/14.
Congratulations to the girls who received a really good reputation for supporting their fellow Wellington teams along with their team chants which were known by all the teams that attended!
Thanks to Rikki and Rob for looking after the girls and Muzz the coach for taking time out to attend the tournament. Roll on nationals 2015!
