Newlands completed one of its most successful senior seasons in recent years at the Regional team Championships. By winning their respective Northern Zone competions Newlands 1 & 3 Girls and Newlands 1 & 2 Boys got to attend the regional event.
At the regionals the Senior Boys 1 had to come through a semi final against Wellington College 1. This game finished 3-3 but the boys won by accruing the most points. In the Division 1 final they had a convincing 5-1 win against Naenae.
The other teams were seeded #1 so went straight into finals. Our Newlands 1 girls came up against a strong St Orans side and went down 5-1 in Division 1 whilst the Newlands 2 Boys also lost 5-2 against Wellington College 2 in Division 2.Our remaining team Newlands 3 played Sacred Heart 4 in the Division 3 final and won 4-2.
