Last month the Newlands College 1st Boys were part of the second Rongotai Invitational Tournament along with the Newlands College 2nd XI. In earlier games NC 1st XI beat Hutt Valley High Development, Kapiti 2nd XI before beating Wellington College 3rd XI 4-0 in the final. The Newlands College 2nd XI entering for the first time narrowly lost the plate final to the Wellington College Y11 team 2-1.
