Tyler Hall from Year 9 was the match winner for the intermediate team in their first game of the new season against Wellington College on November 1. Batting first Tyer smashed a maiden century of 103 off just 83 balls with the next highest score being 13 as Newlands made 167. In reply tidy bowling saw 5 different bowlers take wickets with Marcus Gibson the pick of the bowlers with figures of 2-8.
